Dance Auditions 2025​

Let's Bollywood Dance School is now inviting Kids between 7 - 11 yrs (for Junior Group) and 12 - 16 yrs (for Intermediate Group) to Audition for being part of our Competition batches 2025!

Audition Details:

When: Sunday, 23rd Feb 3 - 4.30 pm (Junior Group) and 5 - 6.30 pm (Intermediate Group)

Where: Wavell Heights Community Hall, 76 Cressey Street, Wavell Heights.

Age categories: Juniors (ages 7 - 11 yrs) and Intermediates (ages 12 - 16 yrs)
(These cut-offs will be strictly adhered to, as they correspond to the Competitions we will participate in)

Application Deadline: EoD 20th Feb 2025

Application Fees: $15 per application

Audition Process: All applying Kids will participate in an hour long dance workshop(led by Swina), where they will be taught a small dance choreography and selection will be done from the applicants, based on the following criteria:

- learning speed
- their flexibility and agility  
- grace and confidence
- group work

- attitude for learning
- ...and many more such requisites, that makes a good dancer :)

PLEASE NOTE: Our Intermediate Competition batch is GIRLS ONLY. Unfortunately, this year we are unable to accept applications from boys, due to the concept of our performance. But, Junior Competition will have Boys too, so Boys between 7 - 11 yrs old, please do apply for our Junior Competition Batch :) 

About Competition Batch:

Since 2019, Let's Bollywood Dance School has been entering into various Multi-disciplinary Dance Competitions, representing Bollywood Dance in Brisbane. We run this batch with three main goals:

- To place Bollywood Dance into mainstream dancing styles,

- To give an opportunity to take up extra challenge and dance with other equally gifted dancers of Brisbane. 

- Present various Indian Dance styles with a creative twist

Some of the competitions we have entered in past and won lots of awards and accolades are Brisbane Eisteddfod, Sunshine Coast Eisteddfod, Dance Life Unite, Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge (BPAC) and Future Stars Competition, among others. This year as well, we will be training our two teams for BPAC, Future Stars Competition, Dance Life Unite, Born to Perform Dance Competition and Gold Coast Eisteddfod. ​​

Competition Batch Commitments: 

With opportunity comes commitment. To be a part of Let's Bollywood Dance School's Competition batch, you have to make two main commitments:

1) Attend weekly training: Competition batches 2025 will be training every Sunday, 4 - 5.30 pm (Junior Group) and 5.30 - 7 pm (Intermediate Group), starting 2nd - 30th March, in Term 1 and then 20th April -   8th June, in Term 2 at Flowstat, Southbank. These sessions are compulsory.
 

2) Participate in competition events: This year each group will compete at 3 events, between June and Aug. Exact competition dates will be announced soon. Participating in at least 2, out of 3, events is compulsory.

Fees: Competition batch fees includes the Weekly training Fees + Costume Hire + Competition Entry Fees. Exact Fees amount will be emailed to you, upon application.
